The first “Deadpool” teaser is here and features a NSFW version of Bob Ross
Our first look at Wade Wilson’s next adventure is here, as a brand new teaser for Deadpool 2 has just dropped. And honestly, it may be the most hilarious thing you’ll see all day — and this time, we mean it.
It seems Deadpool 2 is looking to outdo the outlandish marketing campaign of its predecessor, which became a viral sensation due to its self-deprecating, inappropriate, and fourth wall-breaking TV spots and trailers. So sit back and relax with Wade Wilson as he channels his inner Bob Ross — the artist best known for his PBS instructional landscape painting series The Joy of Painting that has found a renewed popularity on Netflix — with an instructional video of his own aptly titled painting show, “Wet on Wet.”
But buried in the two minute clip *is* actual footage from the upcoming superhero film — a whole ten seconds of it.
The clip is wholly committed to its Bob Ross parody — which sees Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool as Ross — only touting the new footage due to “technical difficulties.” The violent ten second montage finds all our favorite characters returning from the first film — including Deadpool’s love Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), best friend Weasel (T.J. Miller), a newly costumed Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), and, of course taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni).
Unfortunately, the montage reverts back to its Bob Ross spoof before we could catch any real glimpses of new characters Domino (Zazie Beetz), Cable (Josh Brolin), and Jack Kesy’s new villainous character.

Despite the well-documented addition of Brolin to the cast, details from Deadpool 2 have been kept largely under wraps. But in unveiling a brand new teaser, 20th Century Fox also released an outlandish full plot synopsis — but take this with a grain of salt or two.
"After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste," the synopsis reads. "Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover."
Luckily, Deadpool 2 has another seven months to keep us guessing (and laughing) before the film actually hits theaters on June 1st.
