We were not prepared for how much Dax Shepard loves his car

Until pretty much right this second, we thought Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell had the greatest love of all, but we were wrong. As it turns out, Shepard has a deep love connection with someone other than his wife, and she’s totally fine it. Because that someone is actually a something.

And that something is a car.

But not just any car — a car he bought when he first moved to LA over 20 years ago. It has seen him through all of his ups and downs. It was there when he got married and for the births of his two children. To Shepard, it’s way more than just a car — it seems to be an eternal love.

You know, aside from his wife and his kids.

Shepard expressed his feelings for his car in an Instagram post, and TBH, we were not prepared for the intensity of their bond.

Here’s what he wrote:

"I've had this car for 22 years. When I was 20, and first in LA, we would cruise Sunset together, and look at all the billboards for movies. The notion of having one some day seemed preposterous. I wrote a movie about this car called Hit and Run, and that movie is solely what got me Chips. I named my daughter after this car. In our 22 years together, I have been sober for 12, I have gotten married and had children. She has gone from 320 horsepower to 700 horsepower. From drum brakes to 15-inch discs. If you're not into cars, this is undoubtedly the silliest post ever. But if you have ever loved a car, you can imagine how happy I was to park this gal under that billboard. On Sunset."

Those are possibly the most beautiful words ever written about a motor vehicle, and it just shows how sentimental and emotional of a guy Shepard is. And for that, we love him even more.

Wait, he actually named his daughter after the car?? Love is truly an amazing, wonderful thing.
