PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive has been named, but we’re giving him title of Most Adorable Dad
So we got the big news today that PEOPLE magazine has dubbed David Beckham this year’s Sexiest Man Alive. Obviously, congratulations are in order, we are sure that having one’s sexiness bequeathed a superlative title by a major publication is a total day-maker. From what we can gather from the interview Beckham gave to PEOPLE for this week’s issue, he’s equal parts grateful and gobsmacked.
“I never feel that I’m an attractive, sexy person,” he told PEOPLE. “I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I don’t ever think of myself that way.”
We are totally supportive of Beckham’s sexiest of wins, but in the past year, what we’ve been most impressed by isn’t his perfectly-swoopy hair or his impeccably-trimmed beard (thought, big points on both counts, for sure) but rather what an A+ dad he’s been to his four children.
In Von Trapp sound-off order, those kids would be sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, and daughter Harper.
And David’s kids are already starting to take after dear old dad. Until recently, eldest son, 16-year-old Brooklyn, played soccer for Arsenal U16, the highest level of youth soccer in the UK. Additionally, both Brooklyn and Romeo have modeled professionally like their dad and were both featured on GQ’s “50 Best Dressed Men in Britain” list this year. When Beckham isn’t setting an awesomely successful example, he’s kicking back and cutting up with his kids. He wears his Frozen love loud and proud for his daughter Harper:
The same day he totally got his Toy Story ride on with his son Cruz:
Then there was that too-cute-to-compute time when Beckham taught his daughter to ride a bike:
And the time he let Harper pick out his jewelry:
And the time the kids played soccer together:
And the time he let his kids draw him some new tatts:
And, let us never forget, the time he hilariously put Brooklyn in his social media place:

So, give Beckham sexy props, that’s all fine and good, but let us not forget to also give him the major dad ups he so rightfully deserves.
