David Beckham shared the story of Brooklyn’s first tattoo, and it’s surprisingly sweet
Brooklyn Beckham, David Beckham’s son, got his first tattoo with his pops by his side. Talk about adorable, right? Well, it gets even better. While a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden, David Beckham shared a sweet story about Brooklyn’s tattoo.
Brooklyn, now 18, had always agreed to bring his dad along for his first tattoo. Because the soccer star is has lots of ink, it only makes sense for him to tag along. However, as most teenagers do, when he turned 18, Brooklyn began to second-guess the agreement.

David said, "Four days before [his birthday], he was with his girlfriend in Paris, and one of my friends called me that was looking after him there and said, 'It's not coming from me, but Brooklyn is in a tattoo shop with his girlfriend.'"
First of all, we love that David has someone watching over his kid, no matter how old Brooklyn is. Of course, other parents would be losing their cool over their child in a tattoo shop. But because David is, well, David, his response was a little different. Instead of freaking out about the tattoo, David was bummed about Brooklyn breaking their agreement.

"I FaceTimed him, and I said, 'What are you doing, mate?' And he said, 'I'm just going for dinner.' And I was, like, 'Are you sure you're going for dinner?' And he was, like, 'Actually, Dad, I'm in a tattoo place. I was thinking about having something, I'm with my girlfriend.' And I was, like, 'OK, you're more than welcome to have it but you remember you promised me, and I'm your dad and I would feel really upset if you actually went through with it,'" said David.
Luckily for David, his guilt trip succeeded and Brooklyn waited to be with his dad. Better yet, the tattoo matches one of his dad’s tattoos. He posted an image on Instagram and captioned it, “just like dads.”
Since his first tattoo, Brooklyn has already added another addition to his other arm — a film camera.
