There is now a dating site specifically for people who wear glasses and we’re already signed up
There is a dating app for everything and everyone these days and now there’s one for glasses.
Yes, you read that right, there is now a dating site specifically for people wearing glasses, so all you four eyes out there won’t have to deal with lame glasses jokes on dates any longer.
Seriously, there are dating sites for pretty much everyone, including redheads, people who love Disney — it’s called Mouse Mingle and we know you’re intrigued — and now those who rock glasses.
Spex, is the new dating website made just for all you glasses wearers out there. Gone are the days where you have to talk to a non-glasses wearing person, who just doesn’t get the struggles that come with not having perfect vision. Instead, you can find your glasses-wearing soulmate with one little click. Sounds good right?
The only downside is that there is only a website for this dating avenue and not an app, but it just launched last month, so give them time!
In case you need more from Spex before you sign up to find your soulmate, their tagline reads, "Putting the sex back into wearing specs."
Come on, this is hilarious and makes us want to join in on the sexy specs scene right away.
The site was created by a Charly Lester, who is a UK-based dating industry expert. She created a blog called 30 Dates, which was all about going on 30 blind dates before turning 30 and she founded the UK Dating Awards, so she’s kind of a big deal.
So how does this specific dating site work? Well, it’s pretty similar to other dating sites out there, which features photos from your Facebook — which you can alter — your age, height, whether or not you wear glasses, or are just interested in dating someone who does, and more.
The most important thing is that if you do wear glasses you have to fill in the end of this sentence using five words or less: "I think my glasses make me look…"
Honestly, we love this site already, because it is witty and who doesn’t love a sexy person rocking glasses? It almost makes them seem smarter, so even if you don’t wear a pair yourself you can find an individual who does and fulfill that naughty librarian fantasy once and for all.
"The thing about glasses, is that they can tell you a lot about someone's personality," Lester explains on the site. "They are something you choose to wear day in, day out. And so you need to love the glasses you wear and feel confident wearing them. I think SPEX can help people find that confidence, and realize just how great they look with their glasses on."
What are you waiting for glasses goddesses? Sign up now on Spex to find the nerd, hipster, or bookworm you’ve always wanted… glasses and all.
