The internet is terrified by this dancing Winnie-the-Pooh video, as it should be
The internet is a strange, strange beast, and little confirms that more than the popularity of this terrifying Winnie the Pooh dancing video. We’ve seen a fair few truly bizarre animation videos shared through Facebook and other social media. It seems like hobbyists or animators in training or just animators who are bored, we don’t know, make some pretty strange stuff that the internet goes nuts over. But very little has made us simultaneously delighted and afraid like this video of Winnie the Pooh dancing to Pitbull’s “Hotel Room Service.”
We’re not sure what the genesis of this video us, but we’re happy and really upset that this exists.

We’re also not the only ones who got stuck watching this video and thinking about it so frequently that we sort of wish for death as an alternative (JK!).

And obviously, the memes were nearly endless. When life gives you an animation of Pooh dancing to Pitbull, you make memes, ya know?

But by far the best plot twist in this whole ridiculous situation is the Twitter account entirely devoted to syncing up Winnie the Pooh’s dance moves to various songs, at your request.
Like Evanescense. false
And Justin Timberlake. false
And even the Law and Order theme song, which frankly we enjoyed a whole lot more than is reasonable. false
Although Twitter opinions seem to be split between calling dancing Pooh the best part of 2017 and the worst thing they’ve ever seen, we definitely appreciate seeing a little levity make its way into the zeitgeist, since current events have been somewhat less than comforting.
Dance on, Pooh. We need you.
