“Dancing With the Stars'” Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy just debuted their baby son to the world
Even though he’s just a sweet newborn baby, he’s already made his live television debut! (And yes, we’re feeling a little inadequate right now).
That’s right, Dancing with the Stars‘ Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovsky showed off their son Shai (we love that name) on Good Morning America for all the world to see.
Shai was technically born last month, but the couple opted not to share photos of the new baby in the first several weeks, so we’re feeling lucky to receive this rare glimpse of the little guy. This is the first child for both of Peta and Maksim, who met when they were cast in a Broadway production back in 2009. They were dating other people at the time, so things blossomed slowly…but oh boy did they blossom! Their family is simply gorgeous.
Babies. They get us every time!
When Shai was born, Maksim admitted to GMA that he got emotional and cried “men tears,” which just makes us fall in love with him even more. And the truth bombs he dropped about fatherhood are spot on. “I find myself sort of portraying like, ‘I got this,’ and then on the inside I’m like, ‘I don’t got this. I don’t got this. It’s very scary.” But we know that he and Peta are going to be a great parental team.
We’re also excited about their upcoming wedding — which sounds super fancy, taking place over three days with 300 guests. And Shai is going to be included in the ceremony, wearing his best suit. Awwwwwww.
