Dakota Johnson says whether or not she’ll regret doing “Fifty Shades” when she looks back on her career

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the excitement for the latest installment of the Fifty Shades movies is building. Reprising her role as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Darker, Dakota Johnson opened up about the movie trilogy and whether or not she will regret being a part of the Fifty Shades movies and we totally love her answer.

The movies, based on the erotic bestseller by E.L. James, don’t leave a whole lot to the imagination and based on the central theme of the movies, some actors would feel uncomfortable with so much sexuality. Johnson takes the cover of British Glamour’s March 2017 issue and opened up about her feelings about the movie and how she thinks it will impact her career.

“It comes in waves. But this project is not going to be my swan song. It has put my life on a path that I didn’t plan to go down, but I do feel proud of it, she says.

Continuing, the 27-year-old says, “And the films have allowed me to do so many different projects and travel so much. In the end, Fifty Shades has plopped me in a world that I really wanted to be in.”

We couldn’t imagine anyone else playing this role and we’re so glad that she’s not letting any negative thoughts bring down her magic. Fifty Shades Darker opens in theaters nationwide February 10th.
