Dakota Johnson looks like a glam ’70s bride in her Seth Meyers appearance

It makes complete sense that an actress promoting her role as a woman who’s into nefarious billionaires and sex dungeons (or at least dungeon-like sex) would pull off witchy fashion. But still, we were pleasantly surprised when we caught wind of Dakota Johnson’s appearance on Seth Meyers on Wednesday night and her commitment to dressing like a well-to-do cult leader.

While promoting her role as Anastasia Grey in Fifty Shades Darker through banter with Meyers, Johnson shared that one of the frustrating and predictable side effects of her role is the constant public assumption that everything she does is sexual. This sounds like a legitimately frustrating way to be pigeon-holed. With that in mind, we are hoping that her floor-length white velvet number is indicative of a culty access to another spiritual plane.

We can only hope this means her next move after the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy involves a mansion, acres of land, and a manifesto.

Perhaps it’s slightly more realistic to hope she makes a foray into the fashion world.
