This dad sent his dog flowers because he was injured, so true love really does exist

An injury. Flowers. Get well wishes. This is a story of true love.

Lily Cardone and her family have a 10-year-old dog, Sebastian. They’ve had him since he was 9 months old. He’s a regular member of the family. “He is like another brother,” Lily told BuzzFeed.

But the bond between Sebastian and Cardone’s dad is the strongest. The two are best friends, maybe even soulmates. After Sebastian had ACL surgery, Cardone’s dad wanted to make sure he gave the family pup an extra sign of support.

So, he sent flowers to the house.

Cardone says he sends his wife flowers all the time. Naturally, when the flowers arrived, her mom assumed they were for her.

Then she read the note.

“Sebastian, Feel better, you’ll be back in the game very soon. Love, Daddy,” the note said.

Just like a message he’d send to one of his kids. Or his wife. Or any human in his life who can read (aka, not the dog).

Cardone’s mom found the whole thing totally hilarious, so she shared pics of the flowers and note to Facebook.

Cardone then tweeted it…

and the ‘sphere went nuts for the story.

Freaking out about it.

Cardone’s family is handling the viral notoriety pretty well.

After all, “they all saw it coming.”

We wonder what her dad knew, when he ordered the flowers, if he was entering the contest for “awesomest dad ever” award.
