24 important seconds of dachshunds playing baseball
Grab some peanuts and crackerjacks and get ready to set your eyeballs on the cutest baseball game of all time. And bonus! The game is only 24 seconds long so you won’t even need a seventh inning stretch.
Okay. We all know how much dogs love to play ball, right? Wrong. We didn’t know ANYTHING until we saw the video Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund posted to YouTube yesterday of some dogs (all dachshunds, natch) who are taking the ball-playing thing to a whole new level. These dogs aren’t just playing fetch. They’re legit athletes.
First off, they’re wearing uniforms. Actual baseball uniforms, complete with customized hats for their adorably floppy dachshund ears. (Awwww!) Plus, in the span of half a minute these hot dogs show off some serious skills. Pitching? Check. Batting? Absolutely. Running around the bases? Duh. And don’t even get me started on the amaze midfield fly-ball catch. No mitt? No probs. These mutts don’t need mitts. I mean, why use a glove when you can catch with your teeth? The Yankees should be so lucky.
Well played, dachshunds. Well played.
