It’s no secret that whenever SNL lets Kristen Wiig host, she slays. Well, in this latest Thanksgiving SNL, Kristen Wiig brings all the laughs. Not that we’re surprised. Kristen Wiig is a comedic genius. There’s been plenty of praise over the Anderson Cooper meets Westworld sketch and Kristen Wiig’s hilarious turn as a cat lady. Seriously, the whole episode is hilarious. Yet, perhaps her funniest sketch was one that was cut for time.

How does Kristen Wiig keep such a straight face? We lost our composure within five seconds of the first joke! Honestly, her delivery is what really brings this sketch home.

"Do you like peas? Not me. So these are just birth control pills painted green. Donald Trump can't take away what he can't find."

We spat out our water when we heard that. Of course, the rest of the skit, which includes hellos from family members/bizarre weirdos Marcus and Russell, is just as hilarious. Seriously, this skit needs to go viral, ASAP.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kristen Wiig once explained her comedy philosophy:

“It’s a mystery to me what makes people laugh. I just try to be as real as possible... I don’t always just want to do the same thing.

She is very real. That’s part of what makes Kristen Wiig (and now SNL stalwart Kate McKinnon) so captivating. She fully envelopes herself in these bizarre characters, and makes them as relatable and lovable as they are, well, kooky. Frankly, we think Kristen Wiig should be declared a national treasure. There’s a lot of negativity in the air right now, and very few people can make us smile. Kristen Wiig is one of them.
