After customers flipped out about the quality of Kylie Jenner’s lipgloss brushes, Kylie actually responded

Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits have been in hot demand since the minute they went on sale back in November 2015. Every restock sells out within minutes, and restocks don’t happen that often. So when someone actually manages to get their hands on one, it’s a big deal, and the excitement level is high… until they actually open up their package. At least, that seems to be the case with Kylie Cosmetics Lip Gloss.

There have been several complaints across social media on the quality of the applicator that comes with the lip glosses. The current applicator features a traditional brush tip with several small bristles packed together. Many customers have posted photos of smashed up, frayed, and damaged applicators, saying their product arrived like that brand new out of the box.

The issue escalated when fellow makeup brand owner and beauty vlogger Jeffree Star voiced frustrations about the product via Twitter. He said he was very disappointed, and called the brand out for using its early customers as guinea pigs.

Others also took to Twitter and shared their not-so-great experience with the lip gloss brush.

Obviously, drama ensued, but Kylie Jenner quickly responded to her customers.

In a series of tweets, Jenner said the brush design is changing, as she’s switching to a shorter applicator (which will help with the fraying) and to a doe foot applicator, which will make application “more comfortable.” She also said that Kylie Cosmetics will send the new brushes to customers so they can actually use and enjoy their Kylie Lip Kits.

It’s not easy starting a beauty brand, even if you are Jenner. We love that she used this as a teachable moment without throwing any shade back. Now, we have to patiently await another restock so we can actually get our hands on these glosses.
