Good news: “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” is coming back — bad news, this is its final season
Good news and not-so-good news for fans of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Series creator, star, and general genius Rachel Bloom tweeted that the award-winning Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is coming back for a Season 4. Sadly, though, it could be the last one. But, hey, at least we have warning!
On April 2nd, Bloom — who won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy in 2016, and was nominated in 2017 — tweeted a hilarious selfie that accompanied the good news. “Just turned on my wifi on our flight to Chicago and found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season,” she wrote, with a delightfully awkward airplane photo that makes us love her even more.
Now, for the bad news: Season 4 of Crazy Ex-Girlfriendmight be its final bow.
According to Variety, The CW wouldn’t confirm if the next season will be its last, but they didn’t exactly deny it either. Bloom herself said it was the last one, but maybe that just means “for now”??? (We hope it just means for now!)

The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend creator doesn’t want people to worry.
She kept tweeting from the plane, explaining how grateful she was to have been able to make the series exactly the way she wanted. Bloom thanked her fans and thanked The CW, and seemed generally okay with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ending after the next season.

Since it was *just* renewed, we don’t have a premiere date, guest stars, or list of hilarious song titles just yet. What we do know is, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has at least one more full-length season happening, and that’s reason to celebrate.
In case you’re wondering, The CW also picked up Jane the Virgin, Riverdale, and Dynastyfor additional seasons; mid-season replacement Life Sentence, which stars Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars, might not be so lucky, but TBD about that.
At least we have Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 4 to look forward to for now!
