Here are the best covfefe memes, because covfefe is so hot right now
ICYMI, a new word has overtaken the internet and that word is covfefe. “But what is covfefe?” you ask. Well, first we must walk you through the wild origins of this new word. Late last night, Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, took to twitter to share his frustrations surrounding recent press coverage. “Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” he shared, at 12:06 a.m. But the rant ended there as there was no follow-up tweet and we were left to speculate for *hours* about what could come next. Hours later, the tweet was deleted.
While Trump’s tweet may be gone, covfefe will not be forgotten — at least, not yet. While Trump was *probably* trying to spell “coverage,” Twitter immediately jumped on this new word and has spent much of the last 12 hours trying to define it. The official twitter for Merriam Webster Dictionary was even asked to define it — but alas, the meaning is left up to our imagination and some of the funniest people on Twitter.
