Courtney Love’s Radiohead cover of “Creep” is haunting

In the last few years, we haven’t heard much from Courtney Love, one of our queens of the ’90s, in terms of music. She’s released a few singles here and there and had a couple of tour dates, but has been working on other projects — such as her upcoming clothing collection for Nasty Gal launches January 14th.

But a few nights ago, Love attended a private party — and there, she reminded us how amazing of a singer she is (not that we NEEDED a reminder). She covered Radiohead’s song, “Creep,” and it was pure ’90s magic.

The party, hosted by songwriter and producer Linda Perry (she’s responsible for writing “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera), was thrown to celebrate Perry’s “Hands of Love” collaboration with Miley Cyrus for the film Freeheld.

During the party, several musicians took turns covering some of their favorite songs, including a cover of John Lennon’s “Mother” by Christina Aguilera. Love grabbed the mic to deliver a pretty ferocious cover of Radiohead’s “Creep.” It’s a hauntingly beautiful rendition of the song, and quite a treat to hear it live since Radiohead refuses to perform it on tour. Love’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain was also in attendance at the party, and praised her mom for nailing the cover on Twitter.

Watch Courtney Love perform the song below and prepared to be blown away.
