Courtney Love shared a heartbreaking message to Kurt Cobain on Instagram

It’s been over 20 years since Kurt Cobain’s untimely death, but the people closest to him are still feeling the pain of his loss.

Over the weekend, Courtney Love shared an adorable photo of the couple, holding their now 23-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain — her birthday was last week. The picture was accompanied by a heartbreaking message to her late husband. Love wrote, “Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking . . . !?!? God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim.”

Just days before, Love also shared a similar family photo, writing, “My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories.”

This comes on the heels of the theatrical re-release of the Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage of Heck, as well as Frances Bean’s birthday.

While of course we don’t know the motivations behind Courtney’s posts, what we do understand is that though Cobain may be a forever-music-legend to most of us, to many he’s simply a loved one who they terribly miss.

‘Montage of Heck’ is an intimate, heart-crushing tribute to Kurt Cobain
