Courteney Cox surprised a young Friends fan with one of Chandler and Joey’s favorite things

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, birthdays and other celebrations have been moved online. One 13-year-old’s Friendsthemed bar mitzvah is no different. Naftali designed invitations based on the Friends logo and Central Perk sign, booked an orange sofa for photos, and rented a foosball table like the one in Chandler and Joey’s apartment, but he had to cancel his plans and celebrate his bar mitzvah via Zoom. When she heard the news, Courteney Cox wanted to make his celebration a bit brighter.

Naftali’s virtual Friends-themed bar mitzvah was viewed by thousands, and he caught the attention of Late Late Show host James Corden. Via video chat, Naftali told Corden that he had no idea his bar mitzvah was going to become a viral sensation.

“I’m very excited!” he said. “I had no idea. I thought it was going to be a small thing, my family and just a few friends, but it got to be so big.”

It was about to become much bigger. Cox Zoom-bombed the conversation and had a surprise for Naftali.

She didn’t come to the conversation empty-handed. “I was really touched by your story,” she told the 13-year-old superfan. “So, since you couldn’t have your bar mitzvah the way you wanted, I decided to get you a foosball table just like the one in Joey and Chandler’s apartment.”

As all Friends fans know, this is an incredible gift—so long as you aren’t forced to play the ultra-competitive Monica, that is. Now he just needs a chick and a duck, two Barcaloungers, and Hugsy, Joey’s bedtime penguin pal, to complete his Friends-themed room.

Before signing off, Cox gave Naftali a famous Monica “I KNOW!” Watch the entire surprise below:

Sorry, Naftali’s parents. It looks like you’ll have to be eating at the sink from now on.
