Why this couple’s trip to IKEA is going viral

The only thing more fun than Ikea’s super affordably-priced furniture is attempting to pronounce the often difficult names of the store’s products (and maybe eating their Swedish meatballs).

One Australian man, Youtube user Simonline, found this out firsthand on a recent trip to his local Ikea with girlfriend Dana. Simon proceeded to take the furniture names and transplant them into pun-tastic English sentences, hoping to amuse Dana.

Dana may not have been amused, but we definitely were. And so, it seems, were many people: the video has racked up more than 600,000 views since it was published on Aug. 13. Not a bad way to celebrate recently moving in together, as Simon explained in the video’s caption, this was the occasion for the outing. He added, “I figured out how to get through there as quickly as possible.”

Our personal favorite:

Simon: “Dana, what did the guy say at the miniature horse race?”

Simon gestures to a product called “luktynpon.”

Simon: “Good luck, tiny pony.”

It’s funnier to just watch it guys, OK? And if you’re curious as to what any of the words Simon mentions actually are, a reddit user, of course, has already dissected the video

Just add this video to the list of weird and hilarious things people do at Ikea.
