Corgi Sploots is the cutest trend of the week
There’s something I need to tell all of you, and it’s best if you sit down for this. Now stand up. Now sit down. Now stand back up again. You see what you did there? The way you were sitting just then? It turns out your whole life you’ve been doing it wrong. I don’t tell you this to alarm you; I tell you this because it’s not too late for you to change your ways. If you really want to learn how to sit like a champion, then you need to take a few lessons from the adorable Corgi Sploots trend that has been sweeping the internet, because clearly these pooches are doing it right.
We’ve known for a long time that Corgis are pretty much the bossest breed when it comes to butts, with the kind of derrieres that rival Beyoncé’s herself. What is most hilarious about them in particular is the way their little rears fan out when they lay down, which someone has finally described in a perfectly fitting, one syllable word: sploot. (Fun fact: this is now the future name of my firstborn child.) Their butts are so impressive, in fact, that they have entire Tumblr pages devoted to the sole purpose of collecting pictures of cute corgi butts (i.e., all corgi butts).
Now that you are fully knowledgeable and brought up to date on the corgi butt trend, it’s your move. Either you can become a corgi, adopt a corgi, or aggressively make friends with people who already have corgis, which has been my personal friend-making strategy all along.
