The coolest bookshelves from National Shelfie Day!

I don’t know if you’ve heard but I’m a pretty big fan of shelfies AKA aesthetically pleasing photos of ones personal shelf or bookshelf. Unsurprisingly, so is the New York Public Library because last year, they declared January 28th National Library Shelfie Day and invited book lovers from around the world to flood their Instagram feed with photos of their bookshelves. They received over 2,000 submissions proving to the world that books are (thankfully) still a significant part of our lives (at least, enough to warrant a public display of affection like that). In honor of National Library Shelfie Day this year, we’ve rounded up some of the best shelfie posts we could find. Feel free to share your own! There’s no such thing as too many shelfies, after all.

Proof that shelfies don’t have to involve books at all. Nicely designed shelves also work.

BABY BOOKS.

This guy is head over heels for shelfies.

Classic.

Cookie Monster left a cookie in one of these books and he’s already forgotten which one it is.

The name’s Bond. Lego Bond.
