If you came up in the ’90s, you probably rocked a windbreaker of some kind. Jordache, Starter, Nike — they all made fresh jackets, and we wore the heck out of them.

If you haven’t worn one lately, though, we wouldn’t blame you. Their wide, bulky silhouettes fell out of favor in the early 2000s, when more form-fitting styles came into vogue, and these days we’re seeing more military-inspired jackets and minimalist looks.

But Rihanna may be the one to change all that (unsurprising, since Rihanna is the queen of all things street style).

While heading out of upscale New York City nightclub 1OAK this week, she pulled on a blue, satin-lined windbreaker to keep out the chilly fall weather.

On a mere mortal, this may look like an everyday athletic jacket. But on RiRi, it radiates pure, effortless style.

Paired with a gold watch, lace-up Timberland-style boots and an all-black ensemble, Rihanna proves that comfort, warmth and great style don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
