Cole Sprouse un-verified himself on Twitter, is now ONE OF US

When people say that “celebrities are just like us,” it’s often followed by a soft chuckle, some serious denial, and a desperate “right?!” That’s because – though we often try to convince ourselves otherwise – celebs might as well be bathing in ambrosia on Mount Olympus.

Yet, amidst the sea of celebrities who put the I in VIP, there is one. One. One who now understands what it’s like to be… normal.

That’s right. Cole Sprouse is now… ONE OF US.

Though many flocked to become verified when Twitter announced that it was taking requests, Cole defied expectations and did the opposite. By accident, of course. “I’ve been informed that I accidentally hit the ‘protect tweets’ tab, I’ve been informed this is all my fault,” The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star explained, admitting that his fall from grace was completely unintentional.

As for his brother, Dylan, he’s still amongst the stars and has the little blue checkmark to prove it.

While it’s sad to see that these two were separated, we hope this won’t change their brotherly relationship. Then again, only time (and Twitter’s verification process) will tell.
