Cole Sprouse threw back to his Friends days with this iconic (stuffed) character, and we’re feeling old

Remember the little kid who played Ross Geller’s son Ben in Friends? Yeah, well, he’s all grown up and plays Jughead on Riverdale and is also dating Lili Reinhart and is a pretty great photographer, and, and, and! Cole Sprouse, who played the little Geller in the early 2000s, shared a photo of himself back at his old stomping grounds (and with an old friend). Needless to say, the nostalgia hit hard.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of Friends’ first episode, Sprouse rejoined Huggsy, Joey Tribbiani’s “bedtime penguin pal,” on the iconic orange Central Perk couch. We didn’t know we needed this photo until it graced our Instagram timelines yesterday, September 19th.

“The One Where Ben Grew Up,” the Friends Instagram account captioned the post.

The throwback also included stills from Ben-centric episodes of the show.

Before Sprouse was Cody in the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and long before he donned his Jughead hat, Sprouse was young Ben in Seasons 6 through 8 of the beloved sitcom. Huggsy, of course, also popped up from time to time in the background of the series after he was revealed as one of Joey’s “secrets.” (Which, of course, he was not great at keeping.)

Throughout the show’s run, Ben was played by three other child actors besides Sprouse, according to Entertainment Weekly—you know, because of age progression and such. However, Sprouse’s Ben may be the most recognizable to avid viewers both of the show and the blooper reel.

Seriously, Sprouse was incredibly prepared to play this part:

We can’t believe it’s been 25 years since Friends officially kicked off. And although we feel old AF, this anniversary photo of Cole Sprouse is making it all okay.
