A Coke and Mentos bath? Somebody had to do it

Most of us know that dropping Mentos into a bottle of Coke will cause the Coke to erupt like a successful science fair volcano. That’s old news. But do you know what would happen if you taped dozens of Mentos all over your body and then jumped into a bathtub full of Coke? I imagine the answer is no. No you do not know what would happen.

Well, good news for you (and for me), one popular Youtube user in Japan decided to do just that so the rest of us wouldn’t have to.

We must warn you though — while the end result isn’t as dramatic as we hoped it would be (you know, like a massive Coke explosion with millions of colorful Mentos pieces beautifully floating through the air), it’s still pretty cool to watch the fizzy mess.

But RIP to all the Coke and Mentos that were killed in the making of this video.
