This giant “co-sleeping” bed is supposed to fit your whole family, and we have questions

If you’re craving more quality time with your family, this giant co-sleeping bed might be the answer you’ve been dreaming of. For those not in the know, co-sleeping is when your entire family shares a bed at night. Proponents of the movement say it leads to better rest, as well as closer family connections.

While most people simply DIY their own co-sleeping spaces (or um…don’t co-sleep at all), one company has decided to go all out and create a giant bed that will fit the whole family. It’s the ultimate bed for the family that wants to stick together, and we have quite a few questions.

The company Ace Mattresses wants the whole family to be able to cozy up together on long winter nights. With that in mind, they’ve created a true bedding behemoth. Their “family size” mattress comes in at a whopping 144 inches long and 80 inches wide. That’s over 12 feet by 6 1/2 feet, for those keeping track. With that much space, a large family could all share the bed and still have enough room to spread out.

Fans of co-sleeping (and there are many) will go gaga for this bed. But be forewarned: This is not a cheap investment. The mattress alone will set you back by over $2,750. If you want the entire package, you’re looking at spending over $4,000. We get that some people are really into co-sleeping (although we don’t entirely get it), but that’s a pretty hefty bill.
