Cindy Crawford is launching a sunscreen that will protect you from your phone’s harmful blue light
Surely you’ve heard of Cindy Crawford’s line Meaningful Beauty. We can’t be the only ones who’ve happily enjoyed the Meaningful Beauty infomercial in the middle of the night, right? Infomercial connoisseurs can attest, it’s an upper-echelon feature. Watching Cindy Crawford in all her Cindy Crawfordness and makeup-free glory never gets old. A word of warning: All the mentions of the “rare French melon” Cindy’s Dr. Sebaugh has studied will have you craving cantaloupe like crazy.
Meaningful Beauty is coming out with new products set to hit Ulta stores. Get ready for a new serum, an exfoliating masque, and one product that’s already getting a ton of buzz: the Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty Environmental Protecting Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen.
According to Bustle, Meaningful Beauty is marketing this sunscreen as a way to protect skin not only from the environment, but also from the blue lights emitted from phones, laptops, tablets, and TVs. Studies regarding blue light’s effect on skin are extremely varied. Some dermatologists argue that blue light has no effect on skin, while others say it’s not the best for your skin. While it in no way compares to UV rays, some claim it could worsen hyperpigmentation.
If you’d rather be safe than sorry — and don’t mind shelling out the $65 — you can pick up the Meaningful Beauty Environmental Protecting Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen at select Ulta stores and on Ulta.com starting August 20th.
If Meaningful Beauty’s other products are any indication, we can expect the Environmental Protecting Moisturizer to be hydrating and to go on like butta.
