Listening to Christina Grimmie’s new song “Invisible” will bring out every emotion you have

The pain of losing Christina Grimmie is still incredibly fresh. The young talent, who was only 22, passed away after being murdered following a show at The Plaza Live theater in Florida. Once a contestant on The Voice, Christina Grimmie was just starting her successful singing career.

Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, witnessed the entire event. And in order to honor his sister, he and his family decided to release a track from her now-posthumous next album, which Grimmie was in the process of working on during the time of her death.

"It's completely and utterly amazing because obviously we were devastated as a family," Marcus said in an interview with the Elvis Duran Show . "For the first three months, we didn't even do anything, and then around August, I would say, we were like, 'Hey, you know, we have so much music that she's been working on.' And close fans, friends and family have asked us about it constantly, and we owe it to her."

As Marcus noted, the family released the four-part Ballad of Jessica Blue in the months following the news of her death. But there’s so much more than that, including the song called “Invisible.”

While it’s an incredibly upbeat song (which is surprising, based on the name) it’s still a reminder that Christina Grimmie was taken from this world way too early.

We currently have it on loop. It’s just that good.

According to Marcus, Grimmie had somewhere between 50 and 60 unreleased songs that she was in the midst of working on. It’s obvious how dedicated she was to her craft.

"No one that I've ever met has worked as hard as she has, and that's for sure. So we're very excited to be doing this the way she wanted it done," Marcus said.

And, well, now we’re shedding a few tears. We can’t wait to hear even more music by this incredible talent.
