Why Chrissy Teigen won’t be writing a diet cookbook anytime soon

We love a million and one things about Chrissy Teigen, but we especially love how much she loves food. Her cookbook Cravings has garnered a whole heap of attention around the world and she’s appeared on numerous talk shows to cook and eat her recipes on camera. But Chrissy wants all her fans to know that a diet cookbook isn’t in her future plans, so don’t expect to see one on the shelves.

This morning, Chrissy started talking to her fans on social media about what kind of cookbook they’d like to see next from her. While she’s cool with writing about “eating light” and “clean eating,” she made it very clear that anything associated with a “diet” is not what she wants to offer people. She doesn’t believe in depriving herself of certain foods. Rather, she wants to give her body what she wants, while also staying healthy.

“I love the idea of delicious, fulfilling flavor-packed proteins and good carbs with color and zest and love.”

Chrissy also wants to clear the air about what she means by “clean eating,” though. She’s not talking about Dr. Oz kind of stuff, where you can only eat certain ingredients and you’re constantly tallying what goes into your body.


She continues with talk of potato chips. Yum.


Balance is the name of the game, according to Chrissy. Yes, that means Velveeta every now and then.


Judging by her Instagram, she really walks the talk. She’s constantly posting pictures of the yummy food she whips up in the kitchen, inspiring all of us to cook more often.

Can’t wait for Chrissy’s next cookbook. In the meantime, we know she’s having a great time being a mom to little Luna. I bet that girl is going to grow up with the best food anyone could wish for.
