All the love to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend (who are having a baby!!!)
BIG BABY NEWS. One of our favorite all time couples, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, are set to welcome a little one into their family. This is amazing and wonderful, and be honest: did you cry a little bit when you heard, because you were so happy for them? Guilty.
Teigen first shared the news on Instagram, and Legend followed with the same perfect picture of them two of them shortly after. Their announcement is so perfect, and also so Teigen at the same time. She mentions that her and Legend are “excited that it’s finally happening” and that she’s “[looking] forward to all the belly touching.” Doesn’t sound like being a mom will change Teigen one bit. We’re also going to need her to start up an Instagram dedicated solely to all her pregnancy food cravings. If they’re anything like her regular-cravings, this is going to be an amazing nine months for all of us who like looking at whatever Teigen is cooking.
It was only a few weeks ago that Teigen opened up about her and Legend’s struggle to get pregnant. On Tyra Banks’ new daytime talk show, FABLife, Teigen touched on their fertility issues, explaining, “Honestly, John and I were having trouble. We would’ve had kids 5 or 6 years ago if it had happened, but my gosh. It’s been a process.”
She then mentioned she’s grown tired of people constantly asking her about starting a family with Legend, since it is a very personal, intimate and sometimes challenging processes. We admire that she’s brave enough to open up about the topic, and raise awareness about the sensitivity surrounding it. It’s something that should be talked about—but in the right way that’s respectful of those who are going through a difficult process. Add this frank discussion to the list of reasons why we love her so much.
She and Legend are going to be amazing parents. Have you seen the way they hang out with their dogs?? So many happy well wishes to the two of them, and we can’t wait to see all the pictures and cry over whatever song Legend composes for the new little one. Because there is no doubt we’re going to cry SO MANY happy, emotional tears.
