Chrissy Teigen has the perfect response for her internet trolls

If there’s one thing Chrissy Teigen destroys at (besides being a fierce AF model), it’s handling her haters. She was SUCH a good sport about the Chrissy Teigen cry-face meme, and when she moonlighted as a meteorologist she totally beat the internet to the punch when it came to the jokes.

Now, Teigen is taking on her social media trolls. As US Weekly reports, in an interview with Teigen, the model talked about how hurtful it is to read nastiness about herself online.

“It’s almost like f—-king walking up to somebody, or going to somebody’s house, knocking on the door and being like, ‘You’re fat,’” she said, re: those who tag her in mean messages on Instagram and Twitter. “I don’t know if they think they’re ballsy or what. But if you’re going to speak negatively about me, just do me a favor and don’t tag me in it.”

Teigen went on to explain that yes, she reads (almost) all these mean comments, and when she comments back, the response she receives is often quite surprising.

“I would like to say I read everything because it’s pretty damn close,” she said. “Probably 99.5 percent of things I really do read. And if I’m not reading it, it just means that I missed it. I mean, I think that people think that when they send you things, it goes off into space and you don’t care. The worst is when you respond and they’re like, ‘Oh, I didn’t think you would read that! I love you! Oh my god!’ Like, that’s the worst.”

Trolls, take note: there is a real person on the other side of the screen reading the cruel comments you post, so maybe next time you’re about to spew something nasty, think twice and keep your unkind words to yourself.
