Some events propel us to think beyond ourselves and re-consider our own priorities, and a photo of a young Syrian child named Omran Daqneesh that went viral pushed some of our favorite celebs to vent about how it never seems like we’re doing enough to make the world a better place. Chrissy Teigen and Ebonee Davis were two of those celebs, and watching them bond was so inspiring.

Chrissy Teigen‘s crisis was all too relatable, as we’ve all paused to take a moment and recognize our place within the world, and, hopefully, become increasingly aware of what a privilege it is to sit around and think about what it means to exist, rather than be fighting for our lives.

Ebonee Davis, a model, made history this summer when she drew extremely surprising, and extremely important connections between police brutality and racism in the fashion industry.
At the end of the day, it’s an important reminder that we all have the power to make change for the better.
