Chrissy Teigen’s early Xmas present from John Legend is “a lifetime dream”

You know what to get a pregnant woman, or, really, well, any woman for Christmas if you want to melt her heart? Well, John Legend certainly does, seeing as how he presented his lifetime love Chrissy Teigen with what we’ve decided is the ultimate early Christmas present. Check this out:

So what is that? A ceremonial drum? An extra-sturdy hat-box? No, that is an industrial sized wheel of premium Parmesan cheese, people, because John Legend is literally an angel on Earth.

“John got me my lifetime dream for Christmas!” Chrissy explained in her Insta caption. “A cheese wheel to dump pasta and risotto in for years to come! My tableside serving game is bout to be liiiiiit! Heading out to relax with the fam now woohoo!”

For those of us who have never used a cheese wheel (which isn’t shocking, because they are pricey) no, you do not hack off hunks with a saw whenever you need a snack. Instead you hollow out the center and then drop hot pasta into it, like this:

Teigen is known throughout the land for her love of food, and frequently Instas gorgeous meals that make us want her life a little more every day. The Teigen/Legend family also has another possible reason to be stockpiling all that cheese: in October, the happy couple announced that little baby Tiegen/Legend is due in 2016. Depending on how much of that wheel they get through in the next few months, there’s a slight possibility that she will be having a darling Babybel, instead.
