Chrissy Teigen confirmed she and John Legend will soon try for baby #2

Back in the day, a lot of us didn’t know how difficult of a process pregnancy could be. These days, we’re a little more knowledgeable about the common struggles with infertility and the process of in vitro fertilization — and a lot of that is based on celebrities who have opened up about their own battles. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have undergone IVF to conceive our favorite baby Luna Simone and will be undergoing the procedure for their second child very soon.
Teigen opened up to InStyle for their November cover story, and said that she and John will attempt to use the final frozen embryo from her fertility treatments a few years ago.
We can imagine how tense and scary this time must be, as there are never any guarantees. Teigen experienced this already, firsthand.
"The first little girl didn’t work, and then the second is Luna," she said.
In the interview, Teigen said that she regrets not extracting more eggs at the time. They started with 20, but had to narrow down to three based on what was best for her body.
Back in January, well before Luna’s first birthday in April, Teigen opened up to Entertainment Tonight and revealed that the last embryo left is a boy. So, if everything works out, the celebrity couple will have one of each.
Teigen also talked more about her postpartum depression with InStyle, mentioning how she felt like an “a-hole” since things went fairly well during Luna’s birth — she had a healthy, beautiful baby. But still, she often felt like she couldn’t move.
"I have really good days and really bad days, and I don’t tend to talk about the really bad days," she admitted. "But I would hate for people to think those days didn’t exist."
We love how open and honest Teigen is about the topic and wish her all the best during her next IVF journey.
