Chrissy Teigen just gave us ALL the body positivity goals with this pregnancy Instagram

When it comes to Instagram, Chrissy Teigen crushes it on the regular. Though usually she’s ‘gramming her on point outfits or droolworthy meals, today we want to give our girl props for posting photos of her pregnant figure with a pitch-perfect caption: “Hello new thighs! You appeared out of nowhere but I am not mad at it!”

It’s nice to see Teigen 100% embracing her pregnant body. After all, Teigen tried to get pregnant for years. Finally, she and Legend decided to try IVF… and it worked. They announced Teigen’s pregnancy in early October.

She also made an appearance on Tyra Bank’s daytime show, FABlife, on Friday. In it, Teigen was dressed in fun ‘50s-wear and made the most of her appearance, dancing and trying out snacks in the kitchen (because no one snacks as stylishly as Teigen).

With hope, Teigen’s body positivity will make a dent in the pregnancy body-shaming that is an unbelievable and unfortunate part of our culture. Some of you may remember stories of women who have been pregnancy-shamed and then received spiteful messages for appearing as public figures while pregnant.

One such woman was meteorologist Katie Fehrlinger at CBS 3 Philly, who received nasty comments from viewers after she appeared on-air while 35 weeks pregnant with twins this past August.

Her Facebook response to haters was unforgettable. Here’s an excerpt.

Since then, her post has been liked by 99,000 people and shared by 7,200. The story also inspired women to take pictures of their own baby bumps and post them to social media with the hashtag #CBS3.

With Teigen’s pregnancy Instagrams now becoming a thing, we hope more women with platforms will step up and stand up for their baby bodies.

Internet over-analyzes Chrissy Teigen’s baby bump. Chrissy Teigen calmly shuts it down.
