Chrissy Metz says this is the one question she’s tired of answering

When you’re on one of the most popular shows on television, people will want to ask you questions. But there’s one question that Chrissy Metz doesn’t want to answer anymore, and it has to deal with whether or not she’s going to have weight loss surgery.

Back in the day, some people speculated that Metz would have to lose weight in order to continue playing the character of Kate Pearson. But later on, Metz tried to set the record straight and said that her original statement about “losing weight” may have been misworded. What she meant to say is, she’d go on the same journey as her character.

"It wasn’t mandated in the contract, and I probably — if I ever said the word contract, I didn’t mean it in that way," she clarified to People.

But for some reason, fans are still discussing the prospect of Chrissy having weight loss surgery. And yes, it’s getting to be awkward.

"Some people do feel like they’re my doctors, and they have tried to diagnose me on the internets, Metz said during an appearance on Today. "So that's...that's weird. Cause like, I’m good. I’m good, boo. But thanks. But I’m good."

Metz is all about being body positive. In fact, she said that her favorite body part is her calves, and she chose them for the best reason.

"I’ve come to love them and realize, like, they carry my body around. And I could probably kick some ass," she told People.

We love Chrissy Metz’s approach and can’t wait to see more of Kate’s journey on This Is Us, which will be returning to NBC on September 26th.
