Apparently, Chrissy Metz used to be Ariana Grande’s agent, and no, this isn’t another timeline on This Is Us
Long before she was the talent herself, This Is Us star Chrissy Metz helped represent other talent for almost a decade. It seems a bit hard to believe, considering she’s currently on one of the biggest shows on television. But it’s a fact. And it turns out that Metz was Ariana Grande’s talent agent. Yes, really. (She also worked with Disney star Dove Cameron back in the day.)
Metz revealed this mindblowing fact during her May 16th appearance on The Tonight Show. She was there to promote her new memoir, This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today. In the book, she talks about her various jobs and how she ended up where she is today playing Kate Pearson, one-third of the Big Three. After landing in L.A., Metz got a job as an agent’s assistant, joking that she’d make a terrible waitress.
In that time, she worked her way up to having her own clients. She was put in the youth department and got to work alongside Ariana Grande early on in her career — before Grande landed a part in Nickelodeon series Victorious, which aired for four seasons starting in 2010.
"I was on the team that represented both of those incredible ladies. It's so fun," Metz said, referencing both Grande and Cameron. "You know they're going to be stars when you meet them for the first time."
Watch Metz tell the full story about her job working with Grande below.
It starts around the 1:50 mark.

Even though Ariana has been focusing more on her music career these days, we wonder if she’d be down to make a This Is Us cameo. It’d be the reunion we never knew we needed. Maybe Chrissy could book it for her?
