Anna Faris told Chris Pratt she’d officiate his wedding to Katherine Schwarzenegger, and yes, please
It seems as though congratulations are in order, because actor Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger (daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver) are engaged. Pratt announced the news to the world in a heartfelt January 13th Instagram post, writing:
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"
Pratt, 39, and Schwarzenegger, 29, were first spotted together in June 2018, and things reportedly got serious fast. A source told People of the relationship: “They’re both serious about the relationship and hopeful for the future. Chris doesn’t just date to date, and neither does Katherine. She’s very excited.” Another source said, “Chris and Katherine are very happy together. They’re very compatible and have a lot in common.”
Pratt was married to ex-wife Anna Faris for eight years, and they finalized their divorce in November 2018. The exes share a six-year-old son, Jack, and appear to be on extremely amicable terms. Pratt, Schwarzenegger, Faris, and Faris’s new boyfriend, Michael Barrett, all took Jack trick-or-treating together this past Halloween. Faris had the hands-down most supportive reaction to the engagement news, by the way. She slid into Pratt’s Instagram comments section to write, “I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!”
On the latest episode of her podcast Unqualified, Faris also revealed that Pratt texted her personally to share the big news, writing, “I proposed to Katherine last night.” Faris said she sent a congratulations text back, and then wrote, “I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister. I’m not very good at it…” She also told her listeners, “I’m so happy for them. I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I’m just so happy that they found each other.”
We’re sending Chris and Katherine so many congrats today, too.
