Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have a special connection with a penguin, make our Monday way more awesome
2015’s Hollywood Couple of the Year (trademarked by yours truly), Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, are no strangers to giving us all our relationships goals. Hilarious both together and individually, as well as outrageously talented and intensely devoted to one another, they never fail to impress us.
And now, they’ve taken their joint awesomeness to a whole new level (GUYS, WE CAN BARELY KEEP UP) by naming a penguin chick at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo.
Woodland Park Zoo asked the couple, who grew up 20 minutes from each other in the Pacific Northwest (but didn’t meet until they were both in L.A.!), to name the zoo’s 50th Humboldt penguin chick. The moniker their adorable three-year-old son Jack chose? “Eagle.” In a video about the naming, Faris addressed Eagle, letting him know why they chose his name. ”Eagle, Chris and I grew up in Washington State. We love bald eagles, and we thought that a penguin with an aspiration to fly might be really fun. We cannot wait to meet you, Eagle!” Pratt took to Facebook to express how honored their family felt about having a chance to name the zoo’s newest penguin.
Faris also chimed in on Twitter about the experience, and made us laugh while simultaneously melting our hearts. Because she’s Anna Faris.
Check out the full video clip of Hollywood’s first funny family talking about naming the new little guy at the Woodland Park Zoo – and try not to die from the cuteness explosion when little Jack tells Eagle, “Happy birthday.”
