Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins’ upcoming limited series about the Black Dahlia sounds like a very far cry from “Wonder Woman”

Brace yourselves for some very exciting news: A couple Wonder Woman team members are getting back together, but this time for the small screen. The duo at hand? Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins are working together on a new show for TNT.

And even though we know we’re getting a Wonder Woman sequel, neither of them are signed on (yet!), so this is the perfect Wonder Woman reunion to hold us over.

In case you need the refresher, Jenkins directed Wonder Woman, and Pine played Steve Trevor. Now, the pair are teaming up on a new TV show called One Day She’ll Darken. The pilot episode will be directed by Jenkins and Pine will play Jay Singletary, who is described as a former Marine-turned-paparazzo looking to redeem himself.

Okay, we’re into this…Tell us more…

The six-episode show is inspired by the autobiography of Fauna Hodel who was given away as a baby and begins to discover her history, which leads to her grandfather and even the infamous Black Dahlia murder.

Here’s what Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT, has to say about it:

"One Day She’ll Darken is a mind-boggling true mystery with unpredictable twists and turns and edge-of-your-seat chills...Chris Pine has wowed us with so many of his performances, and knowing how multi-dimensional his character is in One Day She’ll Darken, we are so lucky to have an actor as talented as he is to lead this cast.

So even though we don’t know if we’ll get a reunion with Wonder Woman 2, it’s pretty cool that Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins will get to work together again in the meantime.
