Chris Hemsworth shared a video of his kids watching “Thor: Ragnarok,” and we need to know why he doesn’t have a bigger TV
I don’t know about you, but when I think of celebrities, I tend to just automatically assume that they live lavish, luxurious lives and never even have to think about not having something that they want. So, when I read that a celebrity still shops at Target (looking at you Beyoncé) or uses promo codes, I’m more than a little confused (but also, excited because who doesn’t love when celebs are just like us, you know?). In this case, Chris Hemsworth shared a video of his kids watching Thor: Ragnarok, and like, now we really need to know why he doesn’t have a bigger television set.
Yeah, early on Wednesday morning, February 28th, Hemsworth took to Twitter to share a cute video of his kids watching Thor: Ragnarok in their home. “Just downloaded Thor: Ragnarok and the brainwashing has begun, soak it up kids,” Hemsworth wrote, along with a #fatheroftheyear hashthag, for starters. Obviously, his video is hilarious because he is, you know, Thor in the films, so him forcing his kids to watch the latest entry is just silly.
But then, there’s the simple fact of how his kids are watching Thor: Ragnarok.
Like me, you might imagine a giant plasma TV, or maybe even a family theater room. But no, that’s not how it went down. Actually, Hemsworth’s kids were watching the movie on an iPad.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I totally understand the reasoning behind kids using an iPad. I have two nephews and a niece, and their shared iPad has been a literal lifesaver when I’ve babysat them before. But it’s pretty funny that Hemsworth has his kids watching a blockbuster film on a tiny little screen, and that he’s “brainwashing” them with his work, at that.

Of course, Hemsworth is a pretty down to earth celebrity, so it isn’t too surprising that he is being so chill about his kids watching him on the small screen. Surprising or not, this video is adorable, and keep on being adorable, Hemsworth fam.
