Chris Hemsworth said the PERFECT goodbye to his reign as ‘Sexiest Man Alive’
As you may have heard by now, PEOPLE just crowned David Beckham this year’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ (Note: the same day we crowned Beckham ‘Most Adorable Dad Alive’ because HE IS.) But what of LAST year’s Sexiest Man Alive, Chris Hemsworth? How is he handling the passing of the torch?
Like a dream, you guys, like a dream. As E! reports, it started when Hemsworth’s The Huntsman:Winter War co-star Jessica Chastain sent him a tweet of Beckham’s cover and a super-jokey consolation message:
Hemsworth immediately shot back a reply that managed to accomplish SO many things all in one short tweet (Well, okay, a tweet PLUS an attached image with an included note) in which he manages to match Chastain’s jokey tone and be both gracious and self-deprecating while giving major ups to his “dreamy” successor David Beckham (His words! Also, real talk, ours) while reminding us of the very important life truth that “It’s what’s on the inside that counts.”
We love this mostly-hilarious-but-also-a-little-bit-heartwarming response from Hemsworth. Humor+wisdom= lifelong sexiness in our books.
Chastain totally supported Hemsworth’s words of wisdom and got in one last joke before the tweetfest was through.
