Chris Hardwick scrambled to find a wand right before the “Fantastic Beasts” premiere because he’s adorable
As one of our favorite nerd aficionados, we normally expect Chris Hardwick to be on top of EVERYTHING geektastic, right? Well, it turns out he doesn’t readily own a wand. For the world premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Chris Hardwick really wanted to bring a wand with him, apparently (as would we, tbh). So, he reached out to his fans on social media to help him find one nearby just a few hours before attending the magical black carpet event. And, because the Potter-loving gods are good, Chris was able to find one.
Mischief Managed, Chris.
And can we say he’s looking very much THE PART complete with tweed suit and plaid scarf!?
The adventure started when Chris posted this message on Twitter asking for help from fans.
Real quick Harry Potter question: any place in midtown NY sell wands? I NEED TO KNOW YALL. Asking for a friend who is me.

“Asking for a friend who is me.” LOL.
And just a few hours later, Chris found his wand and worked some REAL magic at the premiere.
“Using Newt Scamander’s wand to summon Eddie Redmayne was devilishly clever on my part, I must say.”
Oh, and here’s what it looks like when Chris waves his wand, because we KNOW you were wondering!

Ooooh, it even lights up! So fancy.
Chris has REALLY got that wand-waving form down!
What do we think? 17 inches, made of Ash with a dragon heartstring core?
