Chris Evans celebrated so hard when the Patriots won, and that’s what Captain America would want

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 18 hours, you know that the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl, beating the Atlanta Falcons in overtime after a ridiculously glorious comeback. As with most high profile events, celebrities rolled into the Super Bowl in masses.

Captain America cutie and Massachusetts native, Chris Evans came to Houston full of Patriots Pride and his enthusiasm did NOT disappoint. Evans (who was at the game with fellow Avenger Jeremy Renner, brother Scott, and closer pals) live tweeted the event and was ~literally~ jumping up and down when Patriots running back James White scored the overtime touchdown to win the game.

His reaction was every Patriots fan:

The excitement was so contagious that even California native Renner, who is a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, got in on the action. Renner posted a celebratory photo to his Instagram, writing, Congrats to the pats and falcons for a tremendous game.”

Evans has been a very vocal Patriots supporter, often taking to Twitter to celebrate Patriots victories and challenge other celebs to battle over the best team. In 2015, when the Patriots played the Seattle Seahawks, he had a bet with Chris Pratt (a Seahawks superman), with the loser spending time at a Children’s Hospital in the other’s town — in full Marvel garb. While the Patriots won, Evans still visited the Seattle Children’s Hospital and Pratt visited Christopher’s Haven in Boston.

From Houston, Scott posted a group photo to Twitter and excitement is clearly written all over their faces.

Throughout the game, Evans and his Snowpiercer costar, Falcons fan Octavia Spencer duked it out on Twitter as the Falcons ever-widening lead throughout the first half (and into the third quarter) led Spencer to get a little cocky. Unfortunately for Spencer, Evans got the last laugh.

If you still weren’t convinced of Evans’ excitement, check out what may be the most dramatic and beautiful tweet in Twitter history:

Honestly, we don’t even think Mark Wahlberg could showcase that level of excitement.
