Chloe Kim is on her way to having a substantial net worth

Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim is in the process of becoming a household name. She recently scored the highest during both Ladies’ Halfpipe qualification runs and will compete in the first final run later today, February 12th. The kick is that Chloe Kim is only 17 years old.

Because of her incredible talent on the snow, Kim has endorsement deals with huge brands like Toyota, Monster, and Target. She also appeared in a Samsung commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. And at just 16, Kim earned a spot on Forbes’ 2017 “30 Under 30” Sports list. She was the youngest athlete out of all those honored.

Kim’s current net worth isn’t currently known due to the fact that she’s still up and coming. But her sponsorships will definitely help out a possible college fund, upcoming training fees, or literally anything a teenager wants and needs.

Plus, according to a 2012 Business Insider article, the United States Olympic Committee gives out medal bonuses to winning athletes. $25,000 is gifted to gold winners, $15,000 to silver, and $10,000 to bronze. (Although, inflation has most likely caused these values to drop within the past 10 to 15 years.)

With the way Kim is performing thus far at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, we wouldn’t be surprised if a medal, and therefore medal bonus, is in her near future. Then, perhaps, more sponsorships will follow.

If Kim becomes as well-known and well-liked as Olympic all-star snowboarder Shaun White, then she could be looking at a fairly rich future. According to recent article, White earns around $10 million annually due to tournament winnings and endorsement deals.

We have no doubt that Kim’s career in snowboarding will be an absolute success. At only 17, she has a lot of time ahead of her to do some amazing things.
