Chloe Kim’s dad made a handmade sign to cheer on his daughter, and the internet can’t handle it

Unless you live under a rock, chances are you’ve noticed that the entire internet is talking about Chloe Kim, the 17-year-old snowboarder who won a gold medal — and America’s hearts —after she competed in the snowboard halfpipe competition on Tuesday. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she also comes from an adorably supportive family.

Everybody’s favorite Olympian this year is obviously Chloe Kim’s dad, and he’s not even technically in the Olympics. Still, he basically became an internet sensation overnight.

During Kim’s event, cameras panned to her dad, Jong Jin Kim, who was in the crowd holding up the sweetest sign reading, “Go Chloe!” in pink and purple marker. He’d even drawn a heart on the poster, guys. How cute is that?!

In that moment, everyone fell in love with him…and so many viewers couldn’t resist turning to Twitter to share all of their warm and fuzzy feelings. And trust us, there are a LOT of those feelings going around.

Most people just couldn’t help but cry about it.

Honestly, try to look at that proud man watching his daughter kick serious butt at the FREAKING OLYMPICS. Who wouldn’t cry while witnessing this man’s love for his kid?

And others just could not get over the fact that her dad actually laminated the sign.

TBH, that’s such a typical dad thing to do, and it makes the whole thing that much cuter.

This person had to learn a harsh truth after comparing Kim’s dad to her own parents.

Harsh, but hilarious.

And most of all? Everyone just adored him to the absolute fullest.

How could you not love him, though?

Obviously, any parent who has somehow managed to raise an Olympian who’s taking home medals for Team USA is going to be super proud of their kid, but Kim’s dad takes the cake. Never change, Jong Jin Kim. Never change.
