Chloë Grace Moretz says she learned THIS from Hillary Clinton
Despite the fact that she’s only 19-years-old, Chloë Grace Moretz is as mature as they come. Whether she’s delivering an important message to young voters at the Democratic National Convention or speaking out about college education, Moretz always inspires us to be the best versions of ourselves.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Moretz talks about the things she’s learned from her friend Hillary Clinton.
Firstly, a little backstory. So earlier this year, Moretz was involved in a minor feud on Twitter with Kim Kardashian, where she expressed her concern after Kardashian posted a naked selfie. “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,” Moretz Tweeted her in response.
Kardashian tweeted back of course, and the result was less-than-favorable. “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is.”
In the THR interview, Moretz admitted that although she doesn’t regret what she said, she recognizes that her approach may not have been the most appropriate.
“I realized that being the most opinionated and loud person in the room is not always the most impactful. I learned that from Hillary.”
She recalled the time that Clinton told her, “It’s great to be feisty,” adding, “But sometimes the smartest way to get into the psyche of people is to be the quietest person in the room. Let everyone else bicker and throw their words around and then you come in with the quiet voice and that will be the most impactful.”
Wow. This is some pretty humbling advice. Now let’s all remember that time when Moretz and Clinton enjoyed some delicious donuts together.
We love that Moretz is learning meaningful lessons from this powerful lady and applying them to real life. YOU GO GIRL!
