We cannot look away from these stunning Chinese “Fantastic Beasts” posters
If you’ve already seen Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the newest Harry Potter film in the franchise, you already know exactly how magical it is.
Ever since the film premiered, fans have been examining props for key clues, ferreting out all the Harry Potter references, and coming up with any complex fan theory you can think of.
But the coolest thing we’ve seen so far might be these Fantastic Beasts Chinese movie posters.
According to Cosmo, the posters were created by Chinese artist Zhang Chun. They were designed in the gongbi art style, referencing the classic painting technique that dates back to the 16th century.
The posters feature several of the magical creatures we meet in the film. Collider tells us they were given to Fantastic Beasts‘ cast and crew during their promotional tour in Beijing.
Needless to say, they’re absolutely gorgeous.
There are six posters in total. In addition to our favorite silly little niffler, they also shine a spotlight on the demiguise, swooping evil, occamy, thunderbird, and bowtruckle.
We’re having trouble looking away from these gorgeous, absolutely magic posters. And who can blame us?
Just looking at these posters transports us back to theater. It’s as if we’re watching the film all over again.
Okay, we’ll say it. We’re pretty much obsessed.
But who wouldn’t be once they’ve seen these gorgeous posters?
Our kudos to artist Zhang Chun on the amazing work. Now, the only thing left to do is wait so patiently for the fantastic sequels yet to come.
