The force is with this little girl’s birthday cake
The return of Star Wars has brought us many amazing things: the “audition tapes” from SNL, a female hero (!!!) in the form of Daisy Ridley’s Rey, and Chewbacca birthday cakes.
When an awesome girl named Sophie turned three, she requested a Star Wars-themed party, The Daily Dot reports. Her parents decided it should include a Chewbacca birthday cake and quickly learned how difficult it is to commission such a thing from a baker.
“My daughter wanted a Star Wars party, so I bought this Chewbacca doll hoping that I could find a bakery that would turn him into a barbie cake,” her mom wrote on Imgur. “Because he was a full size doll and not a kit, I was turned down several times.”
Eventually, one of her friends volunteered to give it a whirl and the end result is absolutely magical.
It’s Chewy and a Disney Princess melded into the beautiful mash-up they were always waiting to become. We’re certain that J. J. Abrams would approve!
