The internet is obsessed with these photos of the cherry blossoms blooming in China right now
Spring has finally sprung! After a bitter winter and a March that has brought three winter storms to the East Coast, we’ve definitely got a case of spring fever. While tomorrow, March 20th, is officially the first day of spring, in other parts of the world, springtime has already begun. In China, for example, mesmerizing photos of cherry blossoms in full bloom are sweeping the internet.
Cherry blossoms are known worldwide as a sign of spring in Japan, but China’s blooms are also nothing to sneeze at. The country is currently blanketed in snowy blossoms, which will be on display through April. Tourists from all over the country have flocked to the many different sites to revel in the signs of spring. At Kunming Zoo in Yunnan Province, for example, the 19th Cherry Blossom Festival began on March 7th and will last until April 7th, featuring more than 5,000 flowering cherry and crabapple trees. We wish we could stroll beneath the cherry trees ourselves, but thankfully, the blooms have been captured in breathtaking photos and shared online. And these amazing views of springtime in China are giving us some serious wanderlust. Here are the most jaw-dropping pics.
These aerial views of Pingba Farms in Guizhou Province will make you swoon.
According to Travel and Leisure, the farm features thousands of flowering cherry trees. And later in the season, the Baili Azalea Scenic Spot in the same province will bloom in its full majesty.
At Wuhan University in Hubei Province, the white flowers looked like actual clouds.
The blossoms at Kunming Zoo are unbelievably pink.
These vivid colors in Fujian Province look unreal.

We can’t get enough of these magical spring photos from China. But luckily for those of us who live in the U.S. and can’t make it to Asia for flower viewing, there are cherry blossom festivals in cities like Seattle, Nashville, New York, San Francisco, and Boston. Happy Spring, everyone!
